I'm Jacob, I'm based in Leeds, I like making things for the web and to quote Douglas Adams this is my portfolio done out in appallingly tasteful grey.

In June 2009 I graduated (the worst possible year for graduates since years began) from the University of Leeds with a degree in New Media. Web design and development are what I do best, first becoming interested in the web in the dark days when browsers didn't support PNG transparency and everything was served up in boxy tables with scrolling marquees and a flaming text header.

Nowadays I'm hooked on PHP development, Flash interface design and development, and CSS'ing beautifully designed Web2.0'ey sites. In my spare time I’ve been known to do a bit of documentary making and Flash cartoon animation. When I'm not at a computer geeking around I like to play with turntables, mixing anything with a repetitive beat. When I’m not playing with something that has an electrical current running through it I’m either asleep, eating or white water kayaking.

I'd like to believe I'm an innovative, resourceful and creative individual with a lot of passion for what I do. I’m currently working with fellow graduates on a few projects including a contemporary art E-commerce site, domain parking and reselling and a freelance design collective and central brand identity for all of the sites we work on, Digital-Distractions. net. I’m also looking into buying existing sites on sale in auctions and developing them further.

I hope you enjoy the digital delights on this site, be sure to look at the projects im working on and thanks for reading!
